Wireless Field Team Lead / LTE Foreman

At Alpha Omega Wireless, we build the infrastructure that keeps the world connected. We're looking for a Foreman / Team Lead who doesn't just manage work—they do the work, make the calls, and keep projects moving forward.
 

This isn't a desk job. It's a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend 80% of your time working alongside your crew—climbing towers, pulling cable, aligning antennas—and 20% making sure the job gets done right, on time, and on budget.

 

What You'll Do

Lead the Job

• Make real-time decisions on-site to keep projects on track.

• Coordinate a crew of 2–4 wireless technicians and ensure daily tasks are executed efficiently.

• Communicate progress to project managers (morning, afternoon, end-of-day check-ins).

• Represent the company professionally when clients are on-site.

 

Execute the Work

• Install, align, and optimize wireless systems (microwave P2P, FWA, LTE/5G).

• Mount and align antennas, pull cable, handle DC power, and work with mounting hardware.

• Perform basic radio programming (frequencies, IP addresses, security settings, Ethernet configs).

• Climb towers, work on rooftops, and operate aerial lifts safely.

 

Maintain Quality & Safety

• Act as on-site Quality Control—inspect work and ensure it meets company and manufacturer standards.

• Lead daily safety tailgate meetings and enforce 100% adherence to safety protocols.

• Document installations (photos, screen captures, serial numbers) and upload to project folders.

 

Solve Problems on the Fly

• Adapt to unique site challenges (access issues, weather, equipment failures).

• Troubleshoot RF and IP networking issues in the field.

• Keep projects within 10% of allocated time while maintaining quality.

Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years hands-on wireless installation (tower climbing, antenna alignment, cable pulling).

• Minimum 1 year in a lead or foreman role (or demonstrated leadership ability).

• Experience with LTE/5G, microwave P2P, or FWA broadband systems preferred.

 

Technical Skills:

• Basic RF and IP networking knowledge.

• Ability to program radios (frequencies, IPs, Ethernet settings).

• Comfortable using a laptop for documentation and project management tools (Trello, Microsoft Teams).

 

Certifications & Safety:

• Tower climbing certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Personal safety equipment and 100% adherence to company safety policies.

 

Physical Demands:

• Climb towers and work on rooftops in varying weather conditions.

• Lift and handle heavy steel mounting hardware.

• Work outdoors in a hard hat and work boots environment.
