Case Study - Wireless Ethernet Bridge Over Resevoir

Alpha Omega Wireless did a wireless installation of a point to point wireless Ethernet bridge to create a microwave link from the Control Center (on the dam) to the Marina Office. This wireless backhaul link is 2.3 miles long going over the water. Since the water levels change due the rise and lowering of the reservoir, a radio system that uses both vertical and horizontal polarization was used. The solution consisted of using an Orthogon Systems integrated Gemini Lite, now a Motorola PTP400, (a 22 Mbps wireless Ethernet bridge system with a built in antenna).
