Alpha Omega Wireless Launches New Multilevel Support Program

Posted on Tue, Sep 18, 2012

Alpha Omega Wireless, Inc. announces its new multilevel Support and Maintenance Plans for wireless networks for its clients. A major issue in the wireless backhaul industry is that VARs and Integrators lack the ability to offer Annual Support and Maintenance for their clients. AO Wireless has the solutions for this problem by offering multilevel support and maintenance programs that give its clients piece of mind and guaranties of reliability.

Wireless SupportOrganizations, regardless of industry, need to make sure that they have on-call and on-site support for their networks. Any IT department will tell you how important it is for them to have support and maintenance for their servers and network switches. It is no different for their wireless infrastructure whether you are dealing with point to point wireless backhaul, both unlicensed wireless Ethernet bridges and licensed microwave communication, point to multipoint wireless Ethernet bridges, two-way radio, wireless Mesh network, wireless video surveillance, SCADA telemetry, or Wi-Fi.

Even the best installed wireless network needs to be maintained as well, just like any other components of a data and voice network. Annual maintenance helps maintain the equipment while preventing unforeseen issues that can arise over time. A well maintained wireless network will work for years with extremely high reliability.

President Joe Wargo says, "We are excited to offer our clients a choice when it comes to the level of annual support and maintenance they require. AO Wireless has since its inception offered our clients a support and maintenance package. As far as we are aware we are one of the only wireless integrators that have offered such a program. About 80% of our clients take advantage of the high level of support we have offered.

Over the years we have realized that no two clients’ needs are the same. Some clients only need standard support while others have mission critical networks that need 24x7 support and rapid response times. We surveyed our clients and with the results we have developed three levels of support. Now a client can obtain a plan that fits their operation hours and budgets.”

Alpha Omega Wireless Uses 24GHz SAF Lumina Wireless at SXSW

Posted on Wed, Mar 14, 2012

Alpha Omega Wireless is providing carrier grade wireless backhaul at the 2012 SXSW event in Austin Texas. This backhaul is allowing SXSW to provide much needed bandwidth and internet gateway access to its major venues. For this solution Alpha Omega Wireless (“AO Wireless”) is utilizing the FCC's unlicensed wireless 24GHz frequency band for point to point wireless Ethernet bridge solutions. AO Wireless has chosen to use the SAF CFIP Lumina radio platform by SAF Tehnika, an Eastern European manufacture of point to point licensed microwave wireless radio systems.

SAF Lumina 24GHz SXSW

President Joe Wargo says, "The 24GHz wireless spectrum band is an unlicensed frequency that is heavily underutilized in the United States. Like licensed microwave, a point to point wireless Ethernet bridge in the 24GHz unlicensed wireless band provides carrier grade wireless backhaul. The 24GHz wireless backhaul is ideal for point to point wireless bridges up to 2+ miles. With the SAF Tehnika CFIP Lumnia we can provide carrier / enterprise grade connectivity up to 366Mbps Full Duplex (732Mbps aggregate throughput) in areas where there is a lot of wireless interference. SAF provides the best in breed quality radio systems. When dealing with such a mission critical network we trust only the best microwave radio products available.

The unlicensed wireless 5.8GHz band is becoming heavily saturated and it's becoming difficult to deploy wireless Ethernet bridge links in many areas. Because the 24GHz band is unlicensed we can deploy wireless backhaul links in a day without the need to wait for a FCC license.”
